There’s way more to SEO than creating content and building links. Search engines have to understand your website in order to index its pages properly.
A lot of this relies on what you’re doing to optimize your website for search, and optimization requires intimate knowledge of technical SEO. This is something that anyone who works in any digital capacity should at least be familiar with if you want to get any type of organic traffic to your site.
I’m From The Future is launching a monthly Technical SEO Meetup in Philadelphia to share industry insights with businesses and marketing professionals, and help them understand this side of digital strategy.
Visit the Meetup page.
The idea is to offer way more than you can gain by just reading blog posts or watching tutorials. In these meetups you’ll learn technical SEO from experts who have a proven track record of experience actually doing SEO, and be able to ask them questions in-person.
IFTF Founder Nick Eubanks will be presenting at the first meetup on Optimizing Your Website’s Crawl Budget. Nick will review websites in the wild and then do live teardowns of attendee’s sites, highlighting process, important factors and tips from his experience.
Also, we’re getting some pizza and the event’s host, WeWork Northern Liberties, will be providing free draft beer and coffee – not bad for a Tuesday evening happy hour. We’ll also have some of the IFTF staff on-hand to direct everyone to the right spot, so you’re not aimlessly wandering around WeWork.
